COLORECTAL CANCER

The latest reports indicate that colorectal cancer incidence rates have been decreasing for most of the last two decades! The more rapid decrease in recent years reflects an increase in screening, which can detect and remove polyps before they progress to cancer.

In 2000, the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation launched the designation of March as National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. A separate Web site has been dedicated to detailed colorectal cancer information. Please visit the site for more information.
